Warm, soulful, jazzy and poetic, Max's songs are from under the skin and close to the heart.

After moving to Ireland from London in 2005, Max began a family and focused on recording an album. After the initial sessions with his band at Experimental Audio with producer Steve Shannon, he built a small studio in a shed in his garden which was used to complete the entirely self-funded album ['In The Blood'] Buy it here

Max was born in Bradford and grew up in Nottingham, later moving to London to study music and engineering. As well as his own work, he has produced work for Tom Baxter, Charlie Winston and Sam Semple.

His artistic interests include drawing and painting and the artwork throughout 'In The Blood' is Max's own. In development is an animation film based on the album's title track.

Max plays piano for Tom Baxter, and he appears both on the recent no.1 album 'Skybound’* and his critically acclaimed debut ‘Feather and Stone’...

Max is commited to music education for children and in 2004 founded Songrise which runs songwriting workshops with funding from the Arts Council.
